Stop Child Sexual Abuse Workshop

I have attended Stop Child Sexual Abuse workshop in 28 to 30 of September 2007. Its really gain my knowledge and bring awareness about child sexual abuse issue.

During the workshop, i learned lots of things from it, such as:

1) the definition of child sexual abuse (CSA) which allow me to view the issue in new perspective.
2) the statistic of CSA really makes me shock and surprise
3) the precondition of CSA. Before the CSA happens, what is the risk factor contribute to it.
4) the Grooming process which consist of five continuous stage: create opportunities, targeting the child, introduce physical touch, sexual touch and keeping secrecy. Its really make me understand more how this process is carry out and contradicting my original myths of mind.
5) the effects and signs of a victim of CSA
6) what can I do in order to help them?????? i really appreciate it i can do something to help them such as gain more information about CSA, spread the information to bring awareness in public, how to deal with CSA case if victims come to me, and can be a para-counselor as well.

Before end of the workshop, all participants is divided into two groups and need to give one hour talk about CSA. this really helps us to internalize our learned knowledge. Finally, i also happy because i am chosen to be the best speaker in this workshop.

Below are the material and present i get from this workshop

Sharing my 30 hours famine experience

I did really learn something throughout the camp. I try my best to become a good leader to serve my group members properly and try my best to make them not feel boring during the camp especially during free time. I almost every five minutes i will do a headcount in order for me to know my members location.

Besides, the most important thing i learned from 30 hours famine is to bring awareness to us. We know how lucky we are living in this country which we can have our basic need for survive but comparatively to those poverty country.

Besides, i did knew lots of new friends in this camp. i did try my best to have their contact and keep in contact with each others. They came from various backgroud and so unique people for me. I really appreciate to know them.

30 hours famine

Haha, i have successfully participate in 30 hours famine. This is my first time joining 30 hours famine. I found it quite memorable because this is 10th anniversary of 30 hours famine and is the largest 30 hours famine in Malaysia. Theme for this years is hungry for hope. All English and Chinese campers gather together to starve. I have been a English group leader for group 30. Although is really tired for me, all my handsome and pretty members give me support. Wanna see my members group 30....

Don't envy i have such a great team......haha

I really enjoy 30 hours famine. It gives me lots of knowledge about poverty and let me knew lots of new friends as well..........
